Job Summary:

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Tax Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for preparing and filing accurate tax returns, supporting tax planning initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax accounting principles and a proactive approach to identifying tax-saving opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and file federal, state, and local income tax returns for the organization or clients.

+ Assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions, including deferred tax calculations.

+ Conduct tax research and stay up to date on changes in tax legislation.

+ Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.

+ Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for compliance and reporting.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accurate reporting.

+ Identify and recommend tax strategies that align with business goals.

+ Assist in transfer pricing, sales/use tax, and international tax compliance, as applicable.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation is a plus).

+ CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred.

+ 2–4 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in public accounting or a corporate tax department.

+ Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regulations.

+ Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH, OneSource, UltraTax) and Microsoft Excel.

+ Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Attributes:

+ Experience with international tax, indirect tax, or tax technology tools is a plus.

+ Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex tax issues clearly.

+ Team player with a continuous improvement mindset.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.00/hr.
