Principal Data Engineer

We’re hiring a Principal Data Engineer to help architect and scale a Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) platform that fuels cutting-edge AI and machine learning solutions.
What You’ll Do:
+ Design and build scalable, high-performance data infrastructure using Databricks, Spark, and GCP
+ Develop clean, reliable, real-time data pipelines to support AI/ML inference systems
+ Ingest and unify structured, unstructured, and streaming data from diverse sources
+ Define and implement standards for data quality, lineage, security, and compliance
+ Collaborate with ML engineers to deliver data services and APIs for model training and deployment
+ Optimize large-scale data pipelines, storage layers, and retrieval systems
What We’re Looking For:
+ 10+ years of experience in data engineering and enterprise-grade platform architecture
+ Strong expertise in Databricks, PySpark, GCP, and distributed systems
+ Proficiency in Python, SQL, and real-time streaming tools like Kafka or Pub/Sub
+ Deep understanding of data lake, lakehouse, warehouse, and mesh architectures
+ Experience with Vector DBs or Knowledge Graph DBs is a plus
+ Bonus: Familiarity with BigQuery, Airflow, Azure, AWS, Weaviate, Pinecone, Neo4j
Ideal Candidate:
+ Holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
+ Thrives in fast-paced, startup-like environments but has hands-on experience from complex, enterprise level environments
+ Brings a “builder” mindset with a passion for solving complex data challenges
+ Can lead initiatives with minimal oversight and drive best practices
Work Authorization:
Candidates must be eligible to work directly for any employer in the United States due to federal government contract requirements. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $90.00/hr.
