    Grant Thornton is seeking an IT AV Production Support Specialist to join the team in the New York, NY office.

     

    We are seeking a dedicated IT AV Production Support Specialist to support the firm’s AV Production capabilities, provide white-glove, executive-level support at the New York City (Midtown, Manhattan) office, and ensure consistent, high-quality AV experiences across our estate. This role is critical to delivering high production value user experiences during online meetings while also supporting the evolving needs of our firm’s communication and collaboration technologies.

     

    Key Responsibilities: AV Production Subject Matter Expert

     

    + Maintain and evolve AV production systems for executive leadership meetings.

    + Provide hands-on production support throughout the entire meeting planning and execution process.

    + Support AV production systems located in NYC.

    + As required, travel to support AV production in other offices throughout the firm.

    + Stay current with industry trends and recommend platform updates as necessary.

     

    Interdisciplinary Collaboration

     

    + Collaborate with stakeholders from other business lines to enhance user experience with firm AV meeting technologies.

    + Maintain partnerships with communications, digital marketing, learning, and practice development teams.

    + Contribute to M365 platform roadmap with other product owners.

    + Collaborate with the current AV Team and digital marketing to gain subject matter expertise in the firm’s digital signage platform.

    + Conduct research on emerging communications technologies and proactively bring new capabilities to business partners.

     

    Local AV Subject Matter Expert

     

    + Provide white-glove support for existing AV technology located within the NYC location, including a three section multi-purpose room, remote learning classroom (Connected Classroom), guest hospitality areas, and executive conferencing rooms.

    + Assist current AV Team in supporting other Connected Classrooms throughout the firm.

     

    Project Support

     

    + As required, travel to other GT locations to assist the current AV Team in supporting new deployment projects.

    + Review AV submittal drawings and ensure alignment with architectural plans.

    + Provide field coordination during installation, testing, and commissioning.

     

    Training & Change Management

     

    + Develop training materials and lead “train the trainer” sessions.

    + Train local desktop techs on new AV products.

    + Support change management for new AV projects.

     

    Inventory & Maintenance

     

    + Maintain CMDB accuracy, license tracking, and spare inventory.

    + Contribute to current and future AV technology standards.

     

    Ongoing AV Support

     

    + Contribute to the current AV Team’s capacity for Business-as-Usual (BAU) support of existing technology.

    + Provide remote/on-site support and vendor coordination.

    + Contribute to deployment of future proactive monitoring solutions.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    + Advanced knowledge of AV production hardware and software (including but not limited to digital audio mixing, video switching with multiply mixed effect buses, multi- camera control, teleprompter applications

    + Expertise in the Microsoft Teams platform, including Teams Pro Portal, Teams Townhall, and other related applications.

    + Experience with digital signage platforms.

    + Experience with CADD, DAW, AV editing, and control systems.

    + Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.

    + Familiarity with enterprise networking protocols and AV system integration.

    + Experience with AV vendor management and procurement processes.

    + Bachelor’s degree in AV Technology/Media Production, Broadcast/Media Engineering, Communications/Digital Media, or related field preferred.

    Preferred Attributes:

    + Creative problem-solving and innovation in AV design.

    + Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to travel and provide hands-on support across GT locations.

    + Experience with Microsoft Teams Room deployments and support.

    + Experience with vendor solutions from Creston, Q-Sys, Shure, Biamp, and other common industry manufacturers.

    + CTS / CTS-D / CTS-I (Certified Technology Specialist – AVIXA)

     

    The base salary range for this position in the firm's New York, NY office is between $103,700 and $155,500.
