    DESCRIPTION:

    Duties: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable serverless architectures focusing on event- driven and microservices-based applications. Serve as a key member of the cloud engineering team, responsible for architecting and deploying robust APIs, ensuring secure and performant RESTful services. Design and configure networking components such as ensure high availability and optimized traffic distribution. Develop interactive dashboards and visual analytics using enabling real-time business insights and data-driven decision-making. Automate cloud infrastructure deployment using Terraform, ensuring consistent and repeatable setups. Implement data migration frameworks for seamless upgrades, handling schema changes and validation processes. Design and develop RESTful APIs ensuring high performance and scalability. Work with relational and NoSQL databases to ensure data integrity and consistency. Analyze and optimize application performance in cloud-based environments, applying computational algorithms and research-driven techniques. Develop and document effective operational procedures for cloud infrastructure and provide recommendations for system improvements. Integrate logging and alerting mechanisms to track provisioning status, detect failures, and enable quick troubleshooting. Ensure efficient, high-performance migrations and deployments, minimizing manual intervention and system downtime. Analyze and optimize the performance of applications in cloud-based and distributed environments, applying computational algorithms, mathematical models, and research-driven techniques to enhance system efficiency. Implement proactive RDS monitoring for tracking table size, query performance, and data storage efficiency, ensuring optimal resource utilization. Conduct benchmarking, stress tests, and system profiling to enhance processing speed, fault tolerance, and system reliability.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information systems, Management information systems, information technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Cloud Service Engineer, IT System Analyst, or related occupation.

     

    Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Design and implement scalable serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, focusing on event-driven and microservices-based applications; Develop solutions that minimize infrastructure management and improve application agility, leveraging AWS Lambda's integration with services like S3, DynamoDB, or PostgreSQL for seamless workflows; Architect and deploy robust APIs using AWS API Gateway to enable secure, scalable, and performant RESTful services, implementing features such as custom authorizers, caching, throttling, and logging to enhance API security and reliability; Integrate APIs with Lambda functions, backend services, and third-party APIs to support various business use cases; Design and configure networking components including AWS Route 53, Application Load Balancer (ALB), Network Load Balancer (NLB), Elastic Network Interface (ENI), and Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and optimized traffic distribution; Implement health checks, SSL/TLS termination, and DDoS protection strategies to enhance network security and performance; Develop interactive dashboards and visual analytics using AWS QuickSight, enabling real-time business insights and data-driven decision-making; Leverage QuickSight's SPICE engine for faster data processing, build rich visualizations, and automate report generation; Integrate with data sources including RDS, Redshift, S3, and Athena for comprehensive analytics; Automate cloud infrastructure deployment using tools including Terraform, ensuring consistent and repeatable infrastructure setups; Write and maintain modular, reusable IaC templates to provision AWS resources including Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, and QuickSight; Automate AWS QuickSight provisioning with data source connections including S3, Redshift, RDS Oracle, and Athena using infrastructure as code including Terraform; Automate Alteryx provision to multiple servers using microservices and in an automated fashion using Python and PowerShell scripting; Develop Python-based scripts to automate proxy configurations, R installation, Python virtual environment (venv) setup, and package installations for Alteryx servers; Automate RunAs service setup and configure runtimesettings.xml with all required manual configurations, ensuring smooth Alteryx server operations; Design and implement a Python-driven data migration framework for seamless MongoDB upgrades, handling schema changes, incremental replication, and validation processes; Automate the provisioning and upgrade of Alteryx environments across multiple servers, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reliability; Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java Spring Boot and Python Django; Build React-based UI components that integrate seamlessly with backend services, providing users with an interactive and efficient experience; Work with relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases including DynamoDB and Neo4j to store, process, and retrieve metadata efficiently, ensuring data integrity and consistency; Implement authentication, authorization, and secure API access using industry best practices including OAuth, JWT, and role-based access control; Extract, transform, and analyze large-scale structured and unstructured datasets including XML, JSON, CSV, and TSV to derive business insights and performance optimizations; Develop complex SQL reports and automate their production, integrating with Grafana dashboards for real-time business intelligence; Analyze, debug, and optimize Spark jobs written in Python and Java, ensuring efficient execution on Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Kafka, and HDFS; Design and build high-performance Spark data pipelines, leveraging scheduler/executor frameworks and integrating with cloud storage solutions including AWS S3, GCS, and Azure Blob Storage. Implement end-to-end logging, telemetry, and performance monitoring using tools including SIEM, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, and Dynatrace for real-time observability; Design Python-based ETL workflows to efficiently extract, transform, and load large-scale structured and unstructured data, improving pipeline reliability and data quality; Develop automation solutions using Python, Shell scripting, and Ansible to streamline database maintenance, data ingestion, and infrastructure monitoring.
