JOB TITLE: SHORT DESCRIPTION

Receiving Supervisor is responsible for all tasks involved with smooth daily operations of the Receiving Department, includes processing, verification and record keeping on incoming shipments as well as & training of Receiving Team Members and their productivity.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

+ Supervise the activities of distribution staff engaged in receiving products.

+ Train warehouse and team lead personnel

+ Confer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities

+ Ensures timely and accurate input of all incoming product information through the Inventory Management System

+ Controls the flow of transfer products to the event staff and works with Warehouse Manager to ensure orders are processed and completed within assigned deadlines.

+ General housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas.

+ Updates production and inventory reports to track and assess levels of workload and staffing demand.

+ Controls inbound flow of freight, must work closely with Purchasing Manager

+ Solid communication skills to lead cross functional teams in achieving desired results

+ Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

+ 3-5 years industry experience required.

+ 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment)

+ High school diploma or equivalent; AA Degree in Logistics or Management or related field is preferred.

+ WMS/TWL experience a plus

+ Valid driver’s license

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

+ This position requires that the person be highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently.

+ Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills

+ Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.

+ Will have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable with Internet and inventory control applications.

+ Ability to climb ladders.

+ Identifies key operational goals and opportunities to improve coaching of team members and increases in efficiencies.

Training Requirements

+ Proficient and highest level of knowledge on Legends Global Merchandise systems, policies & procedures.

+ TCE Training Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages employees in the Receiving Department and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Physical Demands

+ Must occasionally lift and/or move 0 to 75 pounds.

+ Some physical exertion required.

+ Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally bend and move about the facility.

Work Environment Works in a distribution center environment. The Distribution Center environment is not climate controlled. Will be exposed to dust, odors, and noise.
