Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will provide technical services for your assigned ship to directly support the ship's Maintenance Team. You will apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices. You will provide technical guidance oversight for functional checkout, test and inspection of major systems. You will provide authoritative technical guidance regarding the resolution of repair/overhaul of major shipboards. You will perform functional checkout of new or modernized shipboard systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines (such as electrical, electronic, mechanical, structural, etc.) Experience resolving complex problems of assigned equipment systems to meet operational schedules. Experience applying knowledge of U.S. Navy specifications and regulations pertaining to design, maintenance, safety and operation of assigned equipment/systems. Education There is no education substitution at this grade level. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
