The Provider Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of services offered by the Practices and to ensure high quality services in accordance with professional standards, state and federal rules and regulations, and operational policies. This position focuses on hospital wide processes, quality, technology, controls and personnel; all to be coordinated in achieving revenue integrity, compliance and customer satisfaction.
+ B.S. degree in related field,
+ Five years’ related experience; or
+ Equivalent combination of education and experience in a health care setting.
+ Skills in computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail systems, and web based programs.
+ Knowledge of current medical terminology for communicating with physicians, staff and patients.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong problem-solving
+ HIPAA and confidentiality knowledge
Essential Job Functions:
+ Provides management, leadership, direction, and coordination of practice operations.
+ Performs direct oversight and provides instruction to provider practice supervisors.
+ Primary liaison between the hospital and providers.
+ Maintains regular communications with physicians and mid-levels within the practice and other medical staff involved with the department.
+ Maintains practice budget and monthly financial operations. Responsible for planning and execution of financial goals.
+ Evaluates opportunities for business development.
+ Coordinates the development of provider practice schedules and coordinates communication of initial and revised schedules, including call schedules as appropriate.
+ Prepares quality and financial indicators for each provider practice and oversees success of those indicators.
+ Manages Meaningful Use and Accountable Care Organization performance within organizational goals.
+ Evaluates practice perform to State, Federal, and other conditions of participation and takes action as needed to maintain compliance.
+ Establishes practice operating policies and procedures to improve operating efficiency and reviews and updates policies annually.
+ Addresses patient complaints according to hospital policy for each provider practice.
+ Leads office staff recruitment.
+ Participates in provider recruitment.
+ Participates in marketing development for provider practices.
+ Supports high standards of patient care.
+ Maintains confidentiality according to hospital policies.
+ Demonstrates a clear understanding of, and commitment to, the hospital’s mission, vision and values as well as service excellence standards while completing all tasks and responsibilities.
+ Maintains reliable attendance and punctuality.
+ Complies with the Code of Conduct and all appropriate policies and procedures.
+ Other duties, as assigned, that are relevant to the position and department.
