    Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a **Sr Principal Chief Engineer Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead** with a technical background in RF hardware test and troubleshooting and some form of leadership experience. This position is located in Linthicum, MD.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    + Lead an engineering team working to transition designs to production for a very important sector priority program with many time-critical elements and high management visibility.

    + Interface with Engineering & Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance.

    + Brief internal and potentially external customer leadership on progress.

    + Perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings.

    + The selected candidates are expected to be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) with 8 years of industry experience, or master’s degree and 6 years industry experience (with a BS in STEM)

    + Active Secret clearance required to start. Must be able to maintain this level of clearance and obtain a SAP clearance for continued employment.

    + 1.5-years minimum background in RF hardware integration, testing and/or troubleshooting

    + General knowledge of BWI manufacturing and test cells

    + 6-months minimum experience in team (or project) leadership in one of the following areas: IPT Lead, deputy IPT Lead, test, hardware or technical, integration and test, test design, RF hardware testing and troubleshooting, or manufacturing / operations support

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience working in the BWI T2 test cell

    + Experience working with cross functional teams to drive test and production improvements

    + Experience with REX (receiver/exciter) hardware Integration and test

    + Experience reporting project status to program, functional management or customers

    + Knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

    + Experience driving recovery through development and execution of return to green plans

    + Experience with the Root Cause Correction Action (RCCA) process

    + PMP certification a plus

    + Active and current Top Secret government clearance a plus

     

    Primary Level Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
