We’re seeking a Principal Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) to join our Horizontal Axis Washer team, leading cutting-edge automation and storage solutions that drive the future of manufacturing.

How You'll Create Possibilities
As a Principal AME, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and executing capital equipment and software systems focused on **Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)** . You’ll serve as the technical and strategic link between **NPI programs, operations, and cross-functional teams** , ensuring that automation, integration, and materials systems perform seamlessly to deliver program success.
In this role, you will:
+ Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely execution of multiple ASRS system installations and qualifications.
+ Serve as the key liaison between **Materials, Operations, and DT/IT** teams, driving alignment across hardware and software integration (WMS, MES, ERP).
+ Oversee ASRS software implementation—customizing, testing, and optimizing functionality to meet production needs.
+ Monitor system performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement upgrades to enhance efficiency and reliability.
+ Coordinate and deliver training for operations and IT staff on ASRS software systems.
+ Partner with EHS and Advanced Industrial Engineering to ensure safety and ergonomic excellence in all manufacturing processes.
+ Develop manufacturing processes that support Lean principles, standard work, and continuous improvement.
+ Support capital planning, budget management, and mentor junior engineers to meet program objectives.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Requirements:
+ Technical degree **OR** equivalent experience.
+ Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing equipment and processes.
+ Experience in leading and managing capital equipment procurement projects, including specification development, supplier selection, technical reviews, installation, and qualification.
+ Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
+ Ability to work effectively in large cross-functional teams and at various organizational levels, including salaried and shop floor operators/skilled trades team members.
+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide program updates to cross-functional teams.
+ Demonstrated ownership of cross-functional program deliverables and decision-making based on overall company benefit.
+ Significant experience and a proven track record of meeting schedules and budgets on construction and capital equipment projects.
+ Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred:
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
+ Proven experience with procurement, execution, and operations of multiple ASRS systems, including both hardware and software.
+ Experience implementing material flow systems for Fortune 500 companies.
+ Experience with Horizontal Axis Washer platforms.
+ Prior experience with NPI programs.
+ Six Sigma Certification.
+ Proficiency in MS Office, MS Scheduler (or equivalent), and AutoCAD.
