Education & Licensure
+ Required: Graduate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing
+ License: Current NYS LPN license
+ Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through RQI (or must obtain within 90 days of hire)
Experience
+ Preferred: Previous experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a physician office setting
+ Other Skills:
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and team members
+ Strong organization and multitasking abilities — essential in a fast-paced environment
+ Commitment to teamwork, continuous learning, and compassionate care
+ Computer literacy; experience with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records preferred

Your Role
As an LPN in Urgent Care, you’ll be a vital part of the clinical team, providing hands-on nursing care and ensuring smooth patient flow from arrival to discharge. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your skills, support providers during procedures, and make a meaningful difference for patients in moments that matter most.
Key Responsibilities
+ Facilitate patient flow efficiently — from registration through discharge
+ Perform nursing assessments, obtain vital signs, and document care accurately in the EMR
+ Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and treatments
+ Assist providers with office-based procedures, lab draws, and diagnostic testing (including EKGs and Pulmonary Function Tests)
+ Administer vaccines and perform CLIA-waived testing according to protocols
+ Manage patient phone calls, prescription refills, and follow-ups
+ Assist with scheduling, prior authorizations, and coordination of care
+ Recognize and respond promptly to emergency situations using established protocols
+ Maintain clinical supplies and support a clean, safe, and organized environment
Patient Population
You’ll care for patients of all ages — from pediatric to geriatric — providing compassionate, efficient, and age-appropriate care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
Exposure Control
This position involves responsibilities where occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens may occur. Proper protective equipment and training are provided.
