    Responsibilities

    + Provide technical training for set-up, safety, efficiency, and troubleshooting

    + on Versalite equipment, and technical support for projects related to production.

    + Coordinate training processes and be responsible for all machine and safety training in production areas.

    + Coordinate with maintenance, production, and engineering on PM’s and scheduled work for the line.

    + Working as a team member focusing on a specific production process.

    + Assist engineering and management with identifying upgrade solutions to improve output and efficiency.

    + Implement and maintain line policies set by the management team.

    + Do periodic walk-thru of production lines to look for any repairs to be done.

    + Ability to process in new tooling or materials when needed for project development.

    + Maintain and exceed machine efficiency set by the Production Manager or Plant Manager.

    + Implement process improvements, SOP’s, and PM’s to maximize production.

    + Monitor the daily EFF and MEFF on the lines in a cell.

    + Develop jigs, tooling fixtures and equipment to improve production and safety.

    + Perform preventive maintenance procedures as specified in manual.

    + Communicate activities with Lead Person and other members of department.

    + Maintain neat and orderly appearance of shop and machines.

    + Assist other departments as requested by the Production Manager or Lead Person.

    + Request or procure parts required for repairs/projects.

    + Any other duties assigned by the leadership team or Plant Manager.

    Qualifications

    + Previous experience and knowledge using Versalite machines.

    + Must be self-motivated with excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

    + Proven trouble shooting abilities and skills.

    + Must be able to work all shifts.

    + Must be able to be on call for any shift at any time.

    + High school diploma / GED Equivalent, some college preferred.

    + Ability to lift 35 pounds frequently

    + Ability to work in dusty / smoky environment on an intermittent basis.

    + Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.

    + Willingness to complete apprenticeship program.

    + Knowledge of mechanical systems and proven ability to apply that knowledge.

    + Ability to climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance, safely operate a forklift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to others. Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness.

    + Hearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warnings, alarms and horns

    + Ability to work at heights (with or without fall protection). Able to climb ladders safely and without assistance a minimum of 10 times per day. Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness.

    + Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to contact otherco-wokers in other areas of the complex.

    + Able to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.

    + Able to work overhead or in awkward positions on a frequent basis.

    + Stereoscopic vision of 20/40 or better and peripheral vision of 70 degrees or greater and ability to read 10-12 point font at a distance of 12-18 inches.

    + Able to stand/walk for 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.

    + Able to stand/walk for 10 hours of a 12-hour shift.

    + Able to work in extremes of heat/cold.
