    PT's Human Resources Representative PT’s Taverns (Las Vegas, NV)

    Description:

    Summary:

    Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources department including but not limited to recruitment/employment, worker’s compensation, benefits, compensation, training and development, data entry, compliance and shared services.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    + Handle incoming calls on multi-phone line

    + Maintain and order all office supplies

    + Service team members at the front counter as well as applicants applying for a job

    + Receive incoming mail/fax and distributes them appropriately

    + Print current and new team member ID badges

    + Maintain Human Resources bulletin boards including job boards and announcement boards

    + Meets with hiring managers to discuss staffing needs and develops specific recruitment plans to address the defined needs.

    + Reviews applications from the applicant tracking system for open positions; submits the most qualified applicants to the hiring manager for further consideration.

    + Assist with LOA’s and worker’s compensation claims

    + Maintain the termination log and termination checks

    + Update name and address changes for terminated team members

    + Process unemployment claims as needed

    + Assists with assembling processing packets, extending job offers, conducting new hire and transfer processing, and ensuring all processing packets are fully and appropriately completed (including proper work cards and pre-employment requirements) prior to new hires and transfers beginning work, as needed.

    + Assist with team member events and recognition programs

    + Assist team members with obtaining or renewing required work cards

    + Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members

    + Meet with, investigate, and respond to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and/or working conditions complaints.

    + Assist employees, supervisors, and department heads to settle work-related conflicts through advice and recommendation

    + Other job duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    Qualifications

    + Previous experience in Human Resources within the gaming/hospitality industry

    + Previous experience performing same or similar duties

    + Ability to effectively communicate in small groups, as well as on an individual-basis

    + Able to effectively organize materials, set priorities, and provide feedback or follow up

    + Previous experience working in a team or group environment

    + Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)

    + Must be at least 21 years of age

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal

    + Bilingual in Spanish preferred

    + Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

    + Verify right to work in the United States

    + Occasionally push and/or pull up to 50 lbs.

    + Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. at floor, knee, and waist levels

    + Occasional standing

    + Frequent walking

    + Constant use of hearing and vision, sitting, distinguishing between shades of color, and using tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
