Job Description
AECOM Technical Services, Inc., is seeking a Civil Engineering III in Dallas, TX.
Job responsibilities:
+ Gathers and correlates engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
+ Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and tests
+ Proposes approaches to solve new problems by modifying standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments
+ Identifies discrepancies in results
+ Provides guidance to entry-level engineers
+ Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision
+ Independently completes all tasks necessary for primary design elements of engineering projects
+ May telecommute
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
1. Professional Engineering (PE) License or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment in position.
2. Design software including MicroStation, GEOPAK, AutoTURN, and OpenRoads.
3. Developing 3D models, templates, and surfaces.
4. Transportation projects, including Schematic Development, Preparation of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates, and Design-Build Projects.
5. TxDOT projects experience.
6. Developing Roadway geometric layouts and details.
7. Design Standards and Design Manuals including TxDOT Roadway Design Manual, MUTCD, AASHTO Green Book, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, and Highway Safety Manual.
8. Preparation of design packages including the development of quantities and cost estimates.
9. Technical quality review records, including checking and verifying discipline and inter-discipline review

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $84469 to $137825.
