    Job Description

    AECOM Technical Services, Inc., is seeking a Construction Engineering V in Tampa, FL.

    Job responsibilites:

    + Coordination of various challenges that arise during transportation engineering and construction projects by providing technical expertise to develop effective resolutions.

    + Responsible for the oversight of the CEI project team, including the assignment of responsibilities to the administrative and field staff, while providing continual support throughout all phases of the construction project.

    + Liaison between field staff, client(s), and communities/municipalities to ensure effective, open communication, and address concerns during the construction of a project, along with coordinating the proper documentation with activities taking place onsite.

    + Develop, review, and oversee progress estimates, final estimates, and all weekly and monthly reports including Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), Request for Information (RFI), Request for Modification (RFM), and Request for Clarification (RFC), throughout the project.

    + Organizing and leading project progress meetings on a weekly and/or bi-weekly basis, interpreting plans and specifications, and coordinating all work between the Contractor, Owner, and Engineer of Record (EOR).

    + Analyze and evaluate claims and requests for additional compensation and proper documentation received ensuring compliance with contractual terms along with the preparation of Field Orders, Change Orders, and Supplemental Agreements.

    + Monitor and track projects in a very detail-oriented manner to ensure the compliance of quality work standards as directed per contract, maintain schedule, forecast job costing and keep immaculate documentation through the life of the project.

    + 50% travel to client sites located within Florida.

    + May telecommute.

    Qualifications

    Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

    Position requires experience in the following:

    1. Contract interpretation;

    2. Plans/specifications reading;

    3. Schedule reading and interpretation (primavera software);

    4. Conflict Resolution in dealing with contractual issues on construction project administration;

    5. Meeting facilitation;

    6. Financial forecasting and tracking;

    7. Risk Analysis, and

    8. Staff management and education of staff for their roles on projects.

    Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $110005 to $203509.
