Job Summary
Technical Skills
Extensive hands-on experience with Connex switch, transaction processing & their associated components.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills across ATM, POS, and payment schemes.
Good knowledge on Authorization Processing (AP) component, AP maintenance & AP online transaction processing.
Understanding of debugging Connex modules and troubleshoot the issues in transaction processing.
Expertise in TAL, COBOL, S-COBOL, and TACL programming languages.
Experience in using the Tandem utilities like FUP, Enscribe, Enform, Bind/XLD, SQL, DDL, INSPECT, Netbatch, Spooler, Peruse, Pathway concepts, etc.,
Proficient in Connex source code analysis, application debugging, and issue resolution.
Experience with Connex knowledge on PI, TH, CH, PMC, CED, SMONINQY, CMSUTIL, NMI, EMS, Prognosis, etc.,
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of Engineers focused on Connex applications running on HPE NonStop/Tandem systems.
Responsible for ensuring high-quality customer service, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement.
Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and network teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
Drive root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring incidents.
Maintain and update operational documentation, runbooks, and support procedures.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, team collaboration and decision-making skills
Perform code debugging, log analysis, and root cause identification for any issues.
Monitor and address environmental incidents to maintain system availability.
Excellent development, troubleshooting & Strong communication skills
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until October 28 th 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $120K- 130K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
