Equitable is currently looking to hire a Paralegal for our Commercial Transactions team, which is a part of Equitable’s Legal and Compliance organization. As a key member of the team this role would be primarily responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts including services, consulting, marketing, licensing, non-disclosure, data privacy, and other commercial related agreements under the supervision of one or more attorneys

Responsibilities:
As a paralegal in the Commercial Transactions teams, your primary responsibilities would be:
+ The drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts including services, consulting, marketing, licensing, non-disclosure, data privacy, and other commercial related agreements under the supervision of one or more attorneys
+ Understanding the Company and products in order to identify risks, develop solutions, mitigation and negotiation strategies
+ Inputting of completed contracts into the contract management system and capture key terms
+ Utilizing a variety of platforms to assist the team with the contract management process and guidelines
+ Other related duties as assigned
The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ Paralegal Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Professional team-player with a willingness to take initiative.
+ Ability to develop and maintain established relationships with key internal stakeholders, system account manager and support team.
+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and other Microsoft applications.
+ Flexible and willing to respond to unanticipated issues and constantly reprioritize based on business demands
+ Outstanding interpersonal skills and strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
