Salary: $1800 / Week
Job Title: Special Education Teacher – Pre-K Early Intervention / Itinerant Services
Position Type: Full-Time, In-Person Contractor
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week
Position Overview:
The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality services to students with special needs from kindergarten through grade 12. This role emphasizes collaborative planning and implementation of individualized student programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and consultation with general education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract, or district regulations
+ Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)
+ State Teacher Certification in one or more of the following areas (preferred):
+ Standard Elementary Teaching
+ Standard Secondary Teaching
+ Standard Special Teaching
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)
+ Certification in Early Childhood Exceptional Children Special Education, Early Childhood Education, and/or Special Education (preferred)
+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
