    Job Summary:

    Supports the PHLY Claims department through forensic accounting activities including the understanding of financial record keeping and reporting of TMNAS, our Group Companies and related business industries.

    Essential Job Functions:

    + Research, data analysis, evaluation and preparation of preliminary analysis with respect to claims files

    + Examination of source documents pertinent to a claims file

    + Interpreting and evaluating various business industries financial data

    + Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

    + Checking and proofing reports and analysis

    + Verbal and written communication to Claims examiners and Claimants

    + Perform “traditional” General Accounting responsibilities (i.e. journal entry recording, general ledger close), as needed

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required

    + 1-2+ years of Insurance experience

    + Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques, ability to meet or exceed customer service needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner

    + Knowledge of insurance finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting, ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations

    + Knowledge of tools, practices and considerations for updating and validating general ledger data

    + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel preferred

    + Strong writing and communication skills

    + Displays strong professional skepticism

    + Strong customer service orientation toward Business Units requiring financial consultation (responsive, consultative, collaborative and accurate)

    + Strong interpersonal relationship building skills: able to work with a variety of people and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner

    + Strong analytical ability with the capability to determine the root cause of problems and issues and provide solutions

    + Superior attention to detail and accuracy

    + Ability to juggle multiple, competing, frequently changing time-sensitive deadlines and priorities

    + Ability to work independently and without supervision
