    Our client is currently seeking a qualified **Field Service Technician** to join their team in Tampa, FL and provide end-user support. This is a 4 to 6 month contract role with the possibility of converting to a full-time position based on performance. The successful candidate will provide onsite technical support to multiple store locations and assist with hardware/software installations, troubleshooting, and lifecycle servicing. A valid driver's license and clean driving record will be possessed by the ideal candidate.

    Duties and Responsibilities** **:

    + Provide onsite desktop, laptop, printer, POS and peripheral hardware installation, maintenance, imaging and repair

    + Troubleshoot software issues including Windows, Office 365 and store-specific applications

    + Manage ticketing system updates: log, track, escalate and close support tickets

    + Perform adds, moves, and changes (AMCs) for user workstations and peripherals

    + Maintain accurate inventory tracking and control of equipment and parts

    + Assist with basic network tasks (cabling, connectivity checks) and Smart Hands support in store locations

    + Deliver technicians' support across shifts and coordinate with store staff and remote support teams to ensure operational consistency

    Skills and Qualifications** **:

    + Minimum 1 to 3+ years of IT support, field service or desktop technician experience

    + Familiarity with Windows OS, Office 365, PC hardware installation / troubleshooting and ticketing systems

    + Strong customer service, communication and time-management skills

    + Ability to lift and move desktop equipment (typical 40 lbs.)

    + Experience with retail environments, POS systems or store-based IT support preferred

    + CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent preferred

    + Ability to work off-hours or weekends if required during project periods

    **Wage Range** :

     

    The rate for this position is between **$17.00 - $20.00 per hour.** Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
