SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Portfolio Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the portfolio of strategic initiatives across the healthcare organization. This individual ensures alignment between projects, programs, and organizational goals, driving value delivery, resource optimization, and risk mitigation. The Portfolio Manager partners with executive leadership, clinical and operational stakeholders, and project teams to ensure successful execution of initiatives that enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and financial performance. The portfolio manager will be responsible for all initiatives within their specific portfolio and/or may lead a large strategic initiative for the organization.
Working under limited supervision, manages and leads all aspects of the most strategic, high-risk and complex enterprise-wide strategic programs impacting enterprise core business process reputation and/or revenue and involving multiple organizational business units in transformation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
+ Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
+ Five (5) years of portfolio, program or complex project management, preferably in healthcare, experience required.
+ Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
+ Master’s degree
+ Experience working in a complex, matrixed healthcare organization.
+ Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
+ Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking.
+ Emphasis on benefit realization
+ Experience managing vendor contracts / sourcing arrangements.
+ Commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
