Job Description:
The Senior Director, Acquisitions & Divestitures, is a key leadership role responsible for driving enterprise growth through strategic acquisitions and divestitures. This leader will shape strategy, execute complex transactions, and manage post-deal integration to create sustainable value. This role is accountable for leading all A&D activities required to support seamless integration and separation activities across the enterprise. The successful candidate partners across the organization with senior business and technology leaders, external partners, third parties, A&D team deal leads, architects and data experts to integrate and divest businesses in a thoughtful, high-quality and compliant fashion in a fast-paced environment.
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to flawless execution are essential, as well as the ability to convene a diverse set of stakeholders and drive alignment to business and technology priorities within an appropriate timeline and budget. Robust industry and business knowledge is essential; broad command of current and legacy technology capabilities and their configuration within J&J is imperative.
Responsibilities include:
+ Strategically collaborate with J&J and external target senior leaders, consultants and other third parties to create and align integration strategies that achieve deal-specific and overall business objectives. Ensure robust communication and interaction with senior business, transition management office and technology leaders throughout the program lifecycle to help ensure maximization of asset value and minimal disruption.
+ With an enterprise and holistic JJT mindset, lead cross-functional integration teams to analyze potential cost-savings opportunities and operational improvements throughout all aspects of the deal lifecycle. Seek opportunities to optimize processes where appropriate, leveraging standard J&J processes, platforms and capabilities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
+ Develop detailed integration plans, addressing process harmonization, technology integration and potential organizational changes. Partner across the A&D team leadership team to drive standardization as appropriate, as well as sharing and adhering to best practices. Address concerns, challenges and escalations proactively, fostering a collaborative and positive integration environment.
+ Identify existing technology contracts and potential supplier relationships and partner with A&D Operations team to optimize deal cost profile and ensure compliance. Design and develop transitional service agreements where necessary.
+ Establish key integration milestones; monitor and report on performance against these metrics. Implement corrective actions as needed to address performance gaps. Direct team to ensure alignment with A&D program management metrics and standards.
+ Directly supervise A&D Deal Leads, A&D Functional Leads and Program Leads/Managers; regular executive interaction with both business and technology leaders, A&D Community of Practice, Business Development and other related functions.
Required Qualifications
+ Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science or a related field
+ Required Years of Related Experience:
+ Business Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in acquisitions and divestitures, investment collaborations and/or licensing deals.
+ Technical Experience: Proven track record in leading complex transactions and cross-functional teams with executive presence; robust knowledge of enterprise and sector technology platforms and capabilities, as well as their strategic roadmaps and tactical plans.
+ Disciplined analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
+ Superior degree of adaptability and agility with the ability to successfully drive results in largely ambiguous environments
+ Exceptional problem-solving skills in both familiar and green-field situations.
+ Strong program and project management experience within the A&D discipline, as well as with supporting tools and methodologies.
+ Demonstrated strategic thinker with a results-driven approach.
+ Ability to work independently under tight deadlines, as well as manage multiple projects and dynamic priorities concurrently.
+ Proven track record collaborating with senior business and technology leaders to drive multi-year programs from inception through completion.
+ Ability to effectively engage, lead and influence a cross-section of colleagues, stakeholders and leaders at all levels of the organization.
+ Must be able and willing to be a steward of confidential, business-critical information and accept associated responsibilities and restrictions based on role.
+ Outstanding relationship, negotiation and communication skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical ideas and business strategy to diverse audiences.
+ Meticulous attention to detail.
+ People leader experience, with a specific emphasis on cultivating talent for the future.
+ Experience leading global programs and/or teams; familiarity with unique geopolitical and regulatory aspects regionally.
+ Minimum 10% travel required

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
173,000.00 - 299,000.00 USD Annually
