Description
The Department of Information Technology (IT) plays a key role in driving customer-focused innovation initiatives. It is composed of four technical bureaus: Business Enablement/Application Services, Customer Success and Productivity, Technology Infrastructure and Security. Collectively, the 95 staff members work together to provide essential services and technical support to all City staff and business functions. The IT Planning team is responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and closure of IT related functions tied to citywide and departmental projects. The team also handles tasks such as disaster recovery planning, evaluating IT criteria, and managing internal discussions for new projects. Work is closely done with various city departments, other IT staff, and outside agencies contracted for services tied to managed projects.
The Project Manager is responsible for leading standalone technical projects and IT-specific functions as part of interdepartmental initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to understand their specific needs and deliver tailored IT solutions.
