**The Role:** Sales Director, Financial Services
**The Team:** The Sales Director has integral and pivotal role towards managing and enhancing the penetration of our Energy Transition, Sustainability and Services (ETSS) offerings into the financial segment. Reporting to the Head of North America Financial Services segment, the focus is on delivering high-quality Sustainability and Energy Transition solutions to financial services clients. This involves coordination and collaboration across teams to drive market penetration strategies that enhance the value and appeal of our ETSS products to financial services clients.
**The Impact:** This role demands a business-oriented leader with exceptional communication skills and a strong focus for revenue generation. You will be instrumental in crafting and implementing market penetration strategies that position our Sustainability and Energy Transition products to deliver greater value, simplicity, and appeal to targeted financial services clients. Your responsibility will include executing commercialization strategies informed by validated market research to offer comprehensive solutions to the financial services market. You will report to the Head of North America Financial Services and oversee ETSS growth in the financial sector by collaborating with cross-functional and divisional teams to deliver effective Sustainability and Energy Transition solutions.
Role & Responsibilities:
+ Identify and engage existing and new potential clients in the financial services sector focused on sustainability and energy transition initiatives.
+ Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders beyond the financial services vertical which include government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners.
+ Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in Sustainability and Energy Transition.
+ Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored solutions that meet client requirements.
+ Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
+ Achieve sales targets and contributing to the overall growth of the Sustainability and Energy Transition portfolio.
+ Stay updated on industry regulations, technologies, and best practices related to Sustainability and Energy Transition.
+ Provide insights and recommendations to clients.
+ Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to promote S&P Global's offerings.
+ Develop and implement product commercialization efforts, collaborating with Commercial partners on pricing and packaging.
+ Analyze competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions and enhance competitive positioning.
What We’re Looking For:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, environmental science, or a related field.
+ At least 7 years of experience managing complex, high visible deal execution and pipeline generation
+ Proven experience in sales, preferably in the financial services sector focused on Sustainability and Energy Transition
+ Strong understanding of Sustainability and Energy Transition concepts and technologies.
+ Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across various functions and divisions within S&P Global.
+ Highly organized, business-oriented, with excellent communication skills and a strong affinity for revenue generation.
+ Experience in Sustainability and/or SaaS enterprise sales with a focus on solution selling.
+ Exceptional communication skills and experience in a global matrix environment.
+ Strong negotiation skills to close strategic deals.

**Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):** S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $122,318 - $168,586. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
