    The Inside Sales Specialist (ISS) approaches customers consultatively and systematically to understand their business objectives. The ISS owns the identification of new growth opportunities via lead qualification and is responsible for the support of existing revenue base by providing day-to-day quoting, issue resolution, and support of our sales account owners. This role includes both transactional and strategic responsibilities, ranging from handling day-to-day inquiries to managing complex quote requests and lead qualification.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Transactional Responsibilities

    + Respond to day-to-day inquiries (standard product quoting, order status & tracking).

    + Monitor shared inbox and route complex questions to account owners.

    + Enter and update customer information in the company database (SFDC).

    + Process order changes and expedited orders following standard procedures.

    + Expedite sales orders and inquiries under direction.

    + Refer questions regarding order terms or engineering to appropriate associates.

    Strategic Responsibilities

    + Handle complex or technical quote requests.

    + Collaborate with production, engineering, and product managers for pricing.

    + Review new leads from webforms, trade shows, and other sources.

    + Identify and support new business opportunities and accounts in designated territory.

    + Conduct outbound prospecting and relationship-building activities.

    + Participate in outbound prospecting calls to support PD/Strat initiatives.

    + Check SFDC for duplicate requests and verify if the customer is an existing account.

    + Use routing guides to assign qualified leads to account owners.

    + Assist field sales with large account maintenance and growth.

    + Monitor customer performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue.

    + Recommend special order pricing and profit margin determinations.

    + Participate in sales promotion, distribution, and pricing programs.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience

     

    BA/BS in a related field with 0–2 years of experience in sales or customer service

    OR

    Associate degree with 5 years of experience in sales or customer service

    Skills & Knowledge

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Effective problem-solving and data analysis abilities

    + Organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment

    + Ability to understand and communicate basic technical features

    + Strong interpersonal and influencing skills

    + Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, CRM, ERP, and reporting tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, JDE, Salesforce.com, Business Objects)

    + Familiarity with professional sales techniques (value selling, project selling, overcoming objections)

    Pay Range

     

    The salary range for this sales position (inclusive of sales incentives/commissions in local currency) is 58100 - 107900
