Commerce, Data & Identity provides the core product management functions for areas crucial to Disney’s media businesses. These include initiatives and products that power digital commerce, identity, and growth, as well as those that reach uniquely across The Walt Disney Company enterprise, such as messaging and privacy, among others. Additionally, it is responsible for the data engineering, science, and products for Disney Entertainment & ESPN, along with their interconnection with other parts of The Walt Disney Company.
Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Data Product Management for Reporting Solutions. This role will lead a team of product managers and data analysts dedicated to creating innovative tools that enable self-serve reporting, analytics, and data access across Disney’s vast data ecosystem. The reporting solutions team also builds bespoke dashboards for business executives and technology leaders, and helps interpret data and generate insights. The Director will play a crucial role in supporting Disney's direct-to-consumer streaming businesses including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, ABC, and more. This role reports to the VP, Data Product Management, Governance, & Operations.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead and mentor a team of product managers and data analysts to deliver high-quality reporting solutions.
+ Develop and execute a strategic vision for self-serve reporting and analytics tools, to improve data accessibility, intelligibility, and usability.
+ Collaborate with business executives and technology leaders to understand their reporting and analytics needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.
+ Drive the development and enhancement of reporting tools that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
+ Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of all reports and data products delivered by the team.
+ Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the team.
+ Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful delivery of reporting solutions.
+ Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data product management and reporting solutions.
Required Qualifications
+ 12+ years of relevant work experience
+ Proven experience in data product management, with a focus on reporting solutions.
+ Extensive experience with analytics and reporting tools (Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, Tableau, Looker, Micro Strategy, etc.) in an enterprise environment
+ **Analytical Skills:** Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
+ **Technical Proficiency:** Strong understanding of data visualization tools, reporting platforms, and data analytics.
+ **Leadership:** Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
+ **Communication:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $207,400 to $278,100, Seattle, WA / New York, NY is $217,300 to $291,500 per year and in San Francisco, CA is $227,200 to $304,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
