    Job Summary

    The Hub Solutions Operations Manager serves as a strategic partner to the Walgreens Hub Solutions Director fostering strong cross-functional relationships to drive organizational alignment and leadership effectiveness. This role plays a critical part in identifying and resolving barriers to team success applying advanced problem-solving and leadership capabilities to support development and execution across departments.

     

    Working closely with the Operations and Account Leadership teams, the Operations Manager provides consultative guidance on team dynamics, staffing strategies, and meeting coordination to ensure focus, alignment and momentum. The role also leads complex projects and process initiatives, leveraging deep subject matter expertise to manage and improve operational workflows. With a strong command of professional concepts, the Operations Manager independently determines methods and procedures for new or specialized assignments and champions change across assigned programs and process. Acts as a pharmacist in charge (PIC) where applicable.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Works on moderately complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

    + Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Serves as a specialist in the field, uses professional concepts in developing resolution to moderately complex issues. Provides expertise and knowledge in a moderately complex area of specialization. Identifies and researches somewhat unique customer opportunities, issues, and requests.

    + Establishes and maintains constructive working relationships and keeps stakeholders informed of progress or status, addressing the underlying needs of the stakeholders.

    + Provides expertise and knowledge in a moderately complex area of specialization. Outlines specific objectives and processes that are focused on generating innovative solutions to business problems.

    + Participates in functional and cross functional teams to meet objectives, improve processes, and improve stakeholder satisfaction. Creates networks involving coordination among groups.

    + Outlines specific objectives and processes that are focused on generating innovative solutions to moderately complex business problems.

    + Recommends and/or implements innovative processes or changes that support the goals of the department.

    + Exhibits leadership on projects and/or processes of duties.

    + Establishes and monitors project requirements, priorities, and deadlines. Manages a project plan and ensures quality and timeliness of project results. Ensures established budget is adhered to base upon project requirements.

    + Prepares standard and ad hoc management reports and presentations for assigned projects.

    + Communicates project status to team and business owners throughout the duration of the assignment and post implementation to make certain all impacted stakeholders understand risks, issues and activities.

    + Facilitates continuous improvement to reach team goals.

    + Responsible for identifying new ideas and approaches. Adapts to varying circumstances to achieve business results.

    + Responsible for analyzing work-related problems and identifying sustainable solutions.

    + Completes continuing education credits towards pharmacy licensure to maintain current status.

    External Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelors degree and at least 4 years of experience in a business role OR High School/GED and at least 7 years of experience in a business role

    + Registered Pharmacist with at least five years of experience as a pharmacist.

    + Current pharmacist licensure in multiple states as required and/or willing and able to obtain licensure in multiple states within six months of position start date.

    + Experience developing, implementing and leading all aspects of pharmacy operations. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

    + Experience evaluating information to determine compliance with standards, laws, and regulations.

    + Experience analyzing data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and design solutions.

    + Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels inside and outside of an organization.

    + Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).

    + Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office 2003: Word (creating and modifying text styles, numbering and sorting lists, working with sections and columns, formatting tables, and using templates and using diagrams and drawing tools), Excel (formatting text and borders of cells, working with workbooks and worksheets, using range names, referencing cells, sorting, auto filtering basic formulas and pivot tables) and PowerPoint (creating presentations, adding and removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates, modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts)

    + Experience prioritizing and performing multiple tasks in time-critical situations

    + Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

    + Experience using analytical skills, tools and techniques to investigate information and to draw conclusions.

    + At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.

    + At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.

    + Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience working with matrix teams.

    + Experience with a Lean Six Sigma environment.

    + Experience defining, developing, and documenting business requirements and functional specifications.

    + Experience utilizing project management software and other standard project management scheduling tools, such as MS Project.

    + Experience presenting and reporting on project plans to appropriate stakeholders, executives and senior management
