Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and driven Full Stack Python/TypeScript Developer to join our internal Artificial Intelligence team. This team is at the heart of digital transformation across the organization, building and maintaining an internal AI platforms that support every business unit—from field engineering to logistics and operations.

As a member of this 10-person team, you will help design and develop intelligent systems that translate natural language into actionable workflows, SQL queries, and visualizations. Your work will directly impact how the business accesses data, generates insights, and automates operational tasks.

This person must be willing to sit on-site in downtown Houston 5 days / week. Hours are more flexible, but must be on-site during core hours (9AM-3PM).

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain full stack applications using Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data based on natural language prompts.

- Integrate LLM (Large Language Model) and Generative AI capabilities into the platform.

- Build and maintain APIs and services that support text-to-SQL and text-to-graph functionality.

- Work closely with field engineers and business stakeholders to understand use cases and deliver intuitive, AI-powered solutions.

- Participate in stand-up meetings, code reviews, and continuous integration/deployment processes.

Skills and Requirements

- 3–5 years of professional experience in Python development.

- Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.

- Experience with React for front-end development.

- Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization and data modeling.

- Familiarity with LLMs and Generative AI concepts and tools.

- Experience with RESTful APIs and modern software development practices.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. - Experience in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly upstream operations.

- Exposure to text-to-SQL or natural language interface development.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
