    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Welder that will support the manufacturing team in the production of custom-built doors. Our client is a leading system supplier for rail and road vehicle door systems, serving major transportation manufacturers worldwide. This is a direct hire for our client in Spartanburg SC. The individual will work the 1st shift from 7:30am-4pm with a small team of 6 other individuals.

    Additional Responsibilities Include:

    - Weld metal parts together using electric arc welding equipment.

     

    - Set up welding tools and connect cables as directed.

     

    - Operate welding machines to generate heat for melting and joining metal pieces.

     

    - Guide welding gun or electrode along seams to create strong welds.

     

    - Perform welding in multiple positions: flat, horizontal, and vertical.

     

    - Inspect welds to ensure size and quality standards are met.

     

    - Apply filler rod manually when required.

     

    - Clean and prepare parts before and after welding.

     

    - Repair broken or cracked components and fill holes.

     

    - Position and clamp pieces securely before welding.

     

    - Tack parts together prior to final welding.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 3 to 5+ years of experience

     

    o MIG and TIG including aluminum

     

    - AWS certified

     

    - Ability to read blueprints, safety rules, and instructions.

     

    - Use own gear - CWI certified

     

    - Robotic experience
