    Job Description

    We are currently hiring a remote VDI Engineer in support of an Azure Virtual Desktop migration for a federal client. This individual will be responsible for working alongside a Solutions Architect to create a pilot in order to migrate ~1,200 end users from Citrix VDI to Azure Virtual Desktop. This individual will be responsible for performing the migration from Citrix to Azure Virtual Desktop and will focus on ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our VDI environment to meet the needs of our dynamic and growing organization.

     

    Compensation: $45/hr. -- 52/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    5+ years of experience as a VDI Engineer- performing migrations between Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop

     

    2+ years of experience within Azure Virtual Desktop, with strong experience architecting and building VDI solutions at enterprise scale

     

    3+ years of experience within Citrix VDI

    Strong ability to communication and present solutions to stakeholders

    Hands-on experience with hypervisors (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V) and related technologies

     

    Strong understanding of networking, storage, and server infrastructure as it relates to VDI.

     

    Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for VDI management. Experience supporting CMS or HHS contracts
