             Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Technician for a manufacturing client in the Pineville, NC area. This position will include traveling countywide in the US, which will regularly entail overnight stays of 1 or 2 days. The position entails going to customers’ premises to start-up, repair and service company equipment, but is not limited to this function. The Field Service Tech is responsible for developing, expanding and achieving new service contracts with customers who have called for an on-site repair. Key Responsibilities: • It is important that the individual is very thorough with their work. Working to high standards, which our customers expect from an employee of Russell Finex. • The individual needs to be both self-motivated and confident but also have the ability to problem solve issues whilst on the job. The ability to think on their feet is essential. • To target and promote annual service contracts to customers whilst carrying out any on site repairs. • Ability to understand how to assemble and disassemble all mechanical equipment (Training will be given). • Initiate and follow-up with customers to sell or resolve problems, answer questions, correspondence and reports. • Being a good team player is also considered essential, as when the individual is not off-site repairing equipment they will be asked to assist other departments that demand his/her skill set. • The service engineer would be expected to keep their own movement diary and report, on a weekly basis, his/her movements for the week to the Aftermarket Sales Manager and the team. • When not traveling, this person will assist with machine assembly and with the testing of materials in the test house in Pineville. Skills and Requirements Must-Haves: • Highly motivated self-starter with a good mechanical engineering background (Technical Degree is preferred) • Strong communication skills both written and verbal • Excellent trouble shooting skills are required to help analyze any customer issues both from an equipment point of view as well as the customer application. • Driver’s License, clean driving record, and ability to rent a vehicle
