Job Description
Jacksonville Maritime Solutions has a current opening for a Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee multiple areas in the support of Fabrication programs located in Jacksonville, FL.
+ Reports into the sites Production leadership team, which coordinating and working closely with the Fabrication Programs team, to direct the daily activities of the production crafts that support the Fabrication programs within our Jacksonville shipyard.
+ Facilities and individual production area budget responsibility
+ Evaluates and initiates personnel actions; evaluates and suggests staffing and training to ensure maximum utilization of personnel; ensures compliance with BAE Systems and departmental policies and procedures; assigns tasks and performs administrative duties.
+ Ensures appropriately skilled resources are available and assigned to provide support to production and development efforts.
+ Actively supports broad and open communication with management, production areas, project teams, and other functional groups.
+ Ensures mixed model production line concepts of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, safety, FOD, and quality support a smooth and efficient manufacturing team.
+ Actively supports and implements best practice concepts for smooth product transition into production and leads problem resolution during production.
+ Ensures that all project and maintenance activities adhere to proper safety standards, OSHA regulations, ADA compliance, environmental goals. Supports Safety/Health and Environmental goals and initiatives by working closely with Operations and the site Safety Manager.
+ Individual ensures full support of the production cycle through active participation in daily IPT meetings.
+ Measures team performance and disseminate through appropriate performance measures.
+ Aggressively leads, supports, emphasizes and measures process and productivity improvements throughout the production areas.
+ Ensures work is performed in accordance with applicable procedures and policies. Demonstrates an active commitment to and champions Continuous Improvement through knowledge and use of Lean principles and Six Sigma.
+ Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
+ Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field experience
+ Knowledge of Manufacturing equipment, practices and principles;
+ Ability to communicate effectively and to develop a sound and reasonable approach to solution of difficult technical problems at system or subsystem level;
+ Strong leadership and managerial experience;
+ Must have experience with management of facility projects.
+ Strong communication skills to interact effectively with people/teams;
+ Ability to team-build and interact effectively across the organization at all levels;
+ Ability to organize and focus team energy towards resolution of a problem;
+ Strong logistical and strategic/tactical planning skills;
+ Ability to filter and structure information of relevance and apply toward realization of goals and objectives;
+ High mental/visual application required to manage project(s) technical requirements and resolve technical system or subsystem level problems

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105835 - $179920
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
