Insight Global is seeking a Controller in the Louisville, KY area for a direct hire opportunity with a non-profit organization. This resource will be joining a team to lead and develop accounting personnel, oversee general ledger, AP/AR, and fixed assets. You will also be responsible for handling grant billings, grant money, and anything related to grant financial. You’ll ensure all accounting activities to comply with GAAP. You’ll partner with the CFO on cash, treasury and investment management and coordinate with HR/payroll to ensure accurate payroll through Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains). You will lead implementation of new accounting standards and process enhancements for the team. Team size is about 6 people.

Other responsibilities:

• Prepare consolidated financial statements for the agency and related property corporations; produce monthly financials for the Board and committees, including dashboards and KPIs.

• Prepare and submit required national office financial reports on schedule.

• Develop the annual indirect cost rate proposal and submit to the U.S. Department of Labor (or cognizant agency) for approval; communicate provisional/approved rates to program leaders.

• Support the CFO to build an efficient rolling forecast and multi year financial plan; model scenarios and risks.

• Establish a regular cadence with program operations leaders to review performance vs. budget, grant burn rates, and funding runway; provide decision ready insights.

• Reconcile clinical billing revenue from myEvolv to Dynamics GP; partner with revenue cycle/billing to resolve discrepancies.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

5+ years of experience as a controller or assistant controller

CPA – certified public accountant

Experience using general ledger software, preferred Microsoft Dynamics GP

Experience working for or with non-profit organizations

Experience with grants and federal grants

Management experience MBA

Raiser’s Edge – fundraising software

myEvolv software experience

Supporting single audits and indirect cost rate proposals

AI experience or AI software
