    Job Description

    A large financial organization is seeking a Production Engineer II for a contract opportunity through the end of the year (with high likelihood for extensions into next year). This position can sit remotely (EST), but there is a strong preference for individuals local to Cincinnati that are able to come onsite downtown 4-5x week.

     

    This individual will be working with an agile squad and offshore teammates supporting one of the Bank’s commercial data archiving applications. This individual will be providing production support of the customer facing application:

     

    • Pre-production support

    • post validation

    • system level II support including tickets, certifications, end of life, and 3rd party integrations

    • Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance

     

    Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to align platform capabilities with business needs

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -4+ years of experience within production support of a customer facing application: Pre-production, post validation and system level II support (tickets, certifications, end of life, 3rd party integrations)

     

    -AIX - Unix

     

    - WebSphere

     

    - IHS- Linux

     

    - DB2 Mainframe & Oracle

     

    -JBoss

     

    -Tomcat -Banking industry experience

     

    -Python & JShell
