Summary About the Position: You will serve as a special advisor to the District providing technical assistance to project managers, program analysts, technical managers, and functional chiefs in the development and maintenance of project schedule and budgetary data in the Project Management Information System suite of programs (PRIMAVERA/P2), ensuring that all projects are identified and entered in the systems. Responsibilities Provide technical expertise and assistance to project managers, program analysts, and others in the development and maintenance of project schedule and budgetary data. Develop and maintain project schedule and budgetary data in the Project Management Information System suite of programs (PRIMAVERA/P2). Ensure all projects are identified and entered in the PRIMAVERA/P2 systems, and its data components are complete and accurate. Review project progress by use of progress reports, baseline comparisons, and other tools to identify performance variations in cost and schedules, and assist project managers in understanding and resolving these variations. Assist in setting up schedules and budgets to allow for the proper interface and data transfer between systems, such as Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. GS-12: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Developing and maintaining project schedule and budgetary data in the Project Management Information System suite of programs, such as PRIMAVERA/P2 or similar; Determining sequence, interdependency, and duration of schedule's tasks; Ensuring logic and data is accurately reflected in the assigned automated system; Assist project managers with performance measurement by understanding and resolving variations in cost and scheduled performance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer Skills Database Administration Project Management Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position may require you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a(n) General Administration and Management Career Field position. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
