    Role Overview:

    The Site FLIGHT DECK Leader will partner with the Clearwater Site leadership to lead the team(s) thru site wide lean transformation. Additionally, this leader will manage, coach and guide a small team of FLIGHT DECK operators. The approach will include (but not limited too) leading model plant efforts for business Hoshin Kanri (strategy deployment), daily management, facilitating problem solving activities, Value Stream Analysis, and Shingijutsu / GE Kaizen Events. Coach & develop team members as required for the FLIGHT DECK fundamentals, as needed. Activities will be focused on improving our business and site's defined True North Metrics for Safety, Quality, Customer Delivery, and Cost.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead the deployment and sustainment of the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model across various departments and teams.

    + Lead a small team of FLIGHT DECK practitioners supporting the Clearwater site.

    + Conduct value stream mapping, identify waste, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

    + Facilitate kaizen events, workshops, and training sessions to educate and engage employees in lean principles and practices.

    + Develop and implement standard work procedures to ensure consistency and quality in operations.

    + Utilize lean tools such as 5S, Kanban, and root cause analysis to drive problem-solving and process optimization.

    + Collaborate with leadership to align lean initiatives with business goals and objectives.

    + Mentor and coach team members to build lean capabilities and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.

    + Ensure all lean activities prioritize safety and comply with regulatory and company standards.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline. (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in manufacturing developing lean or continuous improvement strategies)

    + 3+ years of experience in teaching, coaching, practicing and applying lean methods (i.e. VSM, Cell design, 3P,TPM, 5S, Set up reduction, kaizen, standard work, leader standard work, problem solving, Kanban and lean transformations.

    + Strong communication, leadership, facilitation and project management skills with the ability to speak effectively with various audiences.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience in people leadership.

    + Viewed as a leader who can motivate teams and bring a strong positive attitude toward change.

    + Proven track record of leading successful lean initiatives and driving measurable improvements.

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex processes.

    + Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

    + Lean leaders embody and demonstrate the culture shift to provide psychological safety as the teams they support embrace change.
