AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

AdventHealth Tampa is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research caring for Tampa Bays hearts for over 35 years.

The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases.

The role you'll contribute:

The Director of Safe & High Reliability is the primary integrator of safety performance information for campus leaders and is the primary advisor to campus leaders regarding performance improvement activities and provides continuous feedback on their impact. Ensures organizational strategy around Safe and Reliable Care is translated and executed to ensure a culture of safety and quality as an organization-wide imperative in both in-patient and ambulatory environments. Works in collaboration with the clinical and operations teams to ensure patient safety. Facilitates performance improvement activities which focus on patient safety and high reliable care. Develop and coordinate patient safety strategies for multidisciplinary teams to improve care and ensure consistent high-quality performance. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you'll bring to the team:

Develops and refines campus safety strategy to enhance overall safety and quality.

Collaborates with Clinical Risk Management and Performance Improvement staff to identify high-risk areas and develop prevention practices.

Oversees Executive Patient Safety Walk Rounds, analyzing and reporting results to campus and system PI councils.

Works with Clinical Analytics to provide feedback mechanisms ensuring transparency and open communication of data.

Monitors and distributes feedback for Safety SHARE cards and Safety Hotline calls.

Assists in developing and reviewing safety policies to ensure they meet current standards and needs.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:

+ **Minimum qualifications** :

+ Bachelors degree required

+ Masters degree preferred

+ 5 years of work experience required

+ 3 years of leadership experience required

+ Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CCPS) Required

Must hold one of the following:

+ Registered Nurse (RN)

+ NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) (NBRC-CRT)

+ Physical Therapist (PT)

+ Non-Cert Radiologic Tech Reg (NCT)

+ Physician Assistant (PA)

+ Licensed Paramedic (PARA)

+ Licensed Pharmacist (RPH)

+ Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

+ Occupational Therapist (OT)

+ Ultrasound Technician (UT)

+ APRN-BC - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Board Certified

+ OT - Occupational Therapist Registered

+ CFY - Speech Pathologist

+ Ultrasound technician
