Title: Infrastructure Tech Lead/Architect
Role: Contract/ FT
Duties and responsibilities
+ Manages multiple IT Infrastructure teams/functions: Unix/Linux Systems, VMWare, Storage & Backup, hardware management. Networking infrastructure and IT monitoring operations team.
+ Strong experience in IT Infrastructure & Workplace technologies
+ Hands on experience in managing & supporting IT Service management/ Service Delivery, overseeing Service Desk operations, IT Operations and leading CDM, Workstation Engineering etc
+ Lead and facilitate discussions with key stakeholders, within and outside of the organization as needed, to assist in the development of new business opportunities.
+ Adept at supporting varied enterprise infrastructure/technologies
+ Recommend upgrades and new systems that will be more useful for the project
+ Establish standards, policies and procedures for on-premises, cloud Infrastructure, 3rd party hosting including governance, automation and systems hardening.
+ Develop roadmap and lead design and delivery of IT infrastructure using industry best practices and design patterns Platforms and Infrastructure.
+ Responsible for full infrastructure / systems life cycle including, planning processes and project implementation support.
+ Plan, implement, and maintain best practices that will drive a scalable, cost effective, flexible infrastructure that is aligned with overall IT strategy and business goals.
+ Ensure availability of systems and infrastructure to meet defined SLAs for business operations.
+ Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery programs (in conjunction with Business Continuity Management) for critical systems and infrastructure in the functional areas, ensuring business can execute their business continuity plans.
+ Responsible for vendor relationship management of hosted environments.
+ Research new infrastructure, cloud technologies and prototype solutions that can be leveraged to decrease costs and increase performance.
+ Meeting with managers of different departments and assessing IT infrastructure needs
+ Meeting with IT analysts and finalizing essential IT infrastructure
+ Planning and supervising installation of IT infrastructure in the company
+ Making sure that the infrastructure development project is completed within the given time frame Infrastructure project manager consultant IT skills and specifications
+ Excellent knowledge about all aspects of information technology specifically with complex infrastructure environments
+ Previous hands-on infrastructure experience
+ Must have sound background and knowledge of IT infrastructure components
+ Must be ITIL certified
+ Minimum 8 -10 years of relevant technical project management on multiple large-scale global IT projects.
+ Excellent analytical and observation skills
+ Ability to keep up with latest developments in the field and upgrade IT infrastructure
+ Good communication and negotiation skills
+ Excellent planning and organization ability
+ Excellent time management skills and understanding the value of a baseline
+ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science and information technology
