    Job Description:

At Warner Music Group, we’re a global collective of music makers and music lovers, tech innovators and inspired entrepreneurs, game-changing creatives and passionate team members. Here, we turn dreams into stardom and audiences into fans. We are guided by three core values that underpin everything we do across all our diverse businesses:

    • Curiosity: We do our best work when we’re immersing ourselves in culture and breaking through barriers. Curiosity is the driving force behind creativity and ingenuity. It fuels innovation, and innovation is the key to our future.

    • Collaboration: Making music and bringing it to the world is all about the power of originality amplified by teamwork. A great idea, like a great song, travels globally. We ignite passions and build connections across our diverse community of artists, songwriters, partners, and fans.

    • Commitment: We pursue excellence for our team and our talent. Everything in music starts with a leap into the unknown, and we’re committed to keeping the faith, acting with integrity, and delivering on our promises.

WMG is home to a wide range of artists, musicians, and songwriters that fuel our success. That is why we are committed to creating a work environment that actively values, appreciates, and respects everyone. We encourage applications from people with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.

Consider a career at WMG and get the best of both worlds – an innovative global music company that retains the creative spirit of a nimble independent.

    Job Title: SVP, Marketing Intelligence

    Your role:

The SVP, Marketing Intelligence (MI) will build and lead a new global function at Warner Music Group, starting with a small team and scaling it into a critical capability. This leader will set the vision, establish processes, and develop tools that enable data-driven decision-making across global, regional, and local marketing teams.

The role is central to transforming how WMG uses data to understand audiences, measure impact, and drive sustainable artist growth. By turning complex data into clear, actionable insights, the SVP will empower marketing leaders to make smarter decisions that enhance fan engagement, optimize spend, and maximize both short-term results and long-term artist value.

The SVP of MI will work closely with Regional Marketing Heads across LATAM, EMEA, and APAC, as well as Atlantic Music Group and Warner Records in the US, to ensure marketing delivery worldwide is powered by data. This leader will also collaborate with central partners including Business Intelligence, Technology, Finance, and WMG’s Direct to Consumer operations.

We are seeking a seasoned leader with deep technical expertise, advanced proficiency in SQL and Tableau, and a track record of successfully leveraging large-scale first- and third-party data sets to drive world class marketing.

    Here you’ll get to:

    Marketing Data Strategy and Transformation

+ Build Marketing Intelligence as a new global specialism serving marketing teams at every level of the company.

+ Define the scope of the function across Audience Insights, Marketing Analytics (including performance marketing), and Priority Artist Growth.

+ Establish clear ways of working between MI, cross-functional partners, and label data generalists.

+ Develop frameworks that measure both short-term marketing KPIs (reach, engagement, conversion) and long-term artist equity, ensuring marketing contributes to sustainable growth and cultural relevance.

    Leadership:

+ Serve as the figurehead for Marketing Intelligence globally, setting the vision, inspiring confidence, and establishing the department as a trusted partner across the company.

+ Build and lead a high-performing global team across London, New York, and Los Angeles.

+ Foster strong communication, alignment, and transparency across regions and time zones.

+ Create a collaborative, supportive environment that enables professional development and long-term growth.

+ Build close partnerships with data generalists within labels and international markets, ensuring consistency and knowledge-sharing across the business.

+ Act as senior spokesperson for MI, presenting insights and recommendations to the CMO, global executives, and label leadership teams.

    Audience Insights

+ Define WMG’s global approach to audience insights for both consumers and artists.

+ Identify and prioritize the external and internal data sources needed to power insights, making cost-to-value trade-offs where required.

+ Establish a framework for how these sources connect and integrate, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reliability across global use cases.

+ Develop scalable methodologies and partner with stakeholders on platform choices.

+ Track cultural trends, market shifts, and competitor activity to guide strategy.

+ Build global segmentation models to identify and nurture high-value fan cohorts, deepening artist–fan connections.

    Marketing Analytics:

+ Conduct pilot projects to measure and optimize campaign performance, creating clear case studies that highlight impact.

+ Partner with Technology to test and evolve attribution approaches and efficiency frameworks across campaign types.

+ Build foundational learnings that can justify the expansion of marketing analytics into a more formalized global and regional function over time.

    Priority Artist Growth:

+ Create methodologies that ensure WMG identifies, invests in, and prioritizes the right artists at the right time.

+ Develop targeting and accountability frameworks that align resources to growth goals.

+ Define long-term artist equity metrics that go beyond immediate campaign success, enabling WMG to evaluate how marketing decisions build enduring artist brands.

    About you:

+ 15+ years in marketing data, insights, or analytics roles.

+ Proven leadership across global teams and multiple marketing data specialisms.

+ Strong program management skills, with experience balancing strategic and operational priorities.

+ Advanced SQL proficiency, hands-on experience with large-scale datasets, and expert use of visualization tools (Tableau preferred).

+ Extensive experience with global third-party datasets, including UN, IMF, OECD, and World Bank sources.

+ Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to senior, non-technical stakeholders.

+ Proactive problem-solver with a bias toward action and continuous improvement.

+ Deep passion for music and understanding of the evolving role of labels in the modern industry.

+ Track record of aligning diverse, cross-functional teams and driving transformation.

    About us:

As the home to Asylum, Atlantic, East West, Elektra, FFRR, Fueled by Ramen, Nonesuch, Parlophone, Rhino, Roadrunner, Sire, Warner Records, Warner Classics, and several other of the world’s premier recording labels, Warner Music Group champions emerging artists and global superstars alike.
