Senior Product Manager
PURPOSE
As a Senior Product Manager, you play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products fulfill their primary purpose: enabling users to perform tasks that create value for the company. You will set the strategic vision for the product, ensuring the customer and their needs are at the center, while aligning team priorities to support business outcomes. This role requires a deep understanding of the product domain, related technology, and architecture, as well as the ability to manage the product backlog to achieve the vision and aligned strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive progress and success.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Product Manager, are to:
+ Take accountability for the overall success of a product throughout its lifecycle, from conception to decommissioning;
+ Identify domain needs, develop and validate product concepts, and build a business case;
+ Oversee the product's build and launch, ensuring product availability, stability, and compliance needs are met;
+ Drive agile best practices with the team to improve delivery, including continuous planning ahead of each development cycle and co-creating user stories aligned with the product backlog prioritization;
+ Provide strategic leadership with full end-to-end ownership for assigned products, planning and optimizing capabilities to deliver business outcomes efficiently;
+ Create comprehensive product roadmaps, clarify user needs and non-functional requirements, and track progress against 90-day outcomes and overall product health;
+ Monitor user feedback and metrics to co-create solutions that enhance user experience and deliver business value;
+ Leverage Design Thinking methodology to prioritize problems and perform usability, feasibility, business fit, and value testing to determine optimal solutions;
+ Proactively communicate and collaborate with product users and stakeholders, maintaining strong and productive working relationships across product management, engineering, and other technical teams;
+ Mentor junior product managers to improve product management and agile practices across the community.
+ The primary location for this role is St. Louis, MO.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
+ Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience);
+ 5+ years of experience as a product specialist or in a similar role;
+ Deep understanding of IT concepts, software development, and the product lifecycle;
+ Advanced knowledge of product innovation and user-centric thinking;
+ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with product development and backlog management;
+ Ability to lead cross-functional teams;
+ Experience in global or multi-platform environments.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $118,196.00 to $177,294.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
