Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities Serves as first level of contact for guest service issues. Resolve guest issues in a timely manner and determine whether to escalate to General Manager as needed. Assist General Manger with daily managerial duties to include assisting with interviewing, hiring and training new team members. Oversee all aspects of front-of-the-house operations, including the check-in and check-out process, ensuring that it is swift, efficient and pleasant. Performs front desk operations, to include assigned shifts. Oversees guest departure process, ensuring accounts are properly charged, correct statements are provided and ensuring a 100% Positive Guest Experience. Keeps track of inventory and orders supplies related to guest services and ensures hotel amenities are available and ready for guests. Responsible for control of cash boxes. Supervises employees to include assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, disciplinary actions, completing performance reviews, signing timesheets, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications A minimum of three years guest services experience, preferably in a lodging and/or hotel operation. One-year supervisory experience. Ability to supervise employees in accomplishing work. Strong professional oral and written communication skills. Ability to provide outstanding customer service, maintain positive employee relations and effectively train team members. Knowledge of safety procedures. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with leadership, subordinates, officials and others. Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software. Use of Property Management System (PMS) is preferred. Knowledge of Nonappropriated Funds (NAF) policies and procedures preferred. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. MISSION ESSENTIAL STATUS: This position is designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (nature or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
