PDS Tech is seeking a motivated and safety-conscience **Forge Helper I** to join our client’s forging operations team in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Our ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, reliable, and eager to grow within a fast-paced industrial environment.

**Location:** Rancho Cucamonga, CA

**Employment Type:** 12-month Contract to Hire

**Shift:** 2nd 1PM to 9:30PM - Monday-Friday (OT Required)

**Pay:** $21.14/hourly (weekly pay)

What You’ll Be Doing

This role supports the forging process by assisting with material handling, equipment setup, and basic maintenance.

+ Load/unload metal billets and bars into furnaces using hoists or tongs.

+ Assist in transferring heated materials to forging presses and hammers.

+ Clean and prepare dies and work areas using air hoses, brooms, and scale blowers.

+ Trim excess material from forged parts using saws or trim presses.

+ Operate hand and power tools (grinders, impact wrenches, etc.).

+ Perform basic equipment maintenance and lubrication.

+ Track part serialization and support quality inspections.

+ Ensures that the parts being worked on are of the highest quality.

+ Maintain a safe and organized work area and displays concern for maintain equipment (manipulator, furnaces, etc.)

+ Follow all safety protocols including lock-out/tag-out and PPE usage.

Your Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Basic understanding of forging process and procedures.

+ Ability to follow directions given by the Blacksmith or Supervisor.

+ Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

+ Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

+ Ability to operate a forklift and/or other powered industrial equipment.

Physical Requirements

+ Regularly required to stand, walk quickly, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear in a load and hot environment.

+ Frequently is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch, and climb onto equipment.

+ Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

+ Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat.

**Pay Details:** $21.14 per hour
