**Job Title:** Fleet Mechanic
**Location:** Lansing, MI
**Pay Rate:** $28.00 – $29.00 per hour
Position Overview:
PDS Tech is seeking a skilled and motivated **Fleet Mechanic** to join our team in **Lansing, MI** . This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hands-on, high-performance maintenance environment where you’ll perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of industrial and fleet vehicles — including forklifts (electric and LP), aerial lifts, personnel carriers, and light- to medium-duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Diagnose vehicle and equipment issues, disassemble, repair, and reassemble systems as needed.
+ Perform scheduled **preventive maintenance** and safety inspections on industrial and fleet equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and repair **electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, drive, and brake systems** .
+ Respond to service calls and perform repairs efficiently and safely.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance and repairs in logs or digital systems.
+ Assist with maintaining shop cleanliness, tool organization, and compliance with all safety standards.
+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely and high-quality work completion.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Must pass drug screening, background check, and mechanical skills assessment.
+ Previous experience in repairing forklifts, industrial equipment, or fleet vehicles.
+ Working knowledge of hydraulic and brake systems, as well as preventive maintenance programs.
+ Ability to perform physical work including lifting, bending, reaching, and climbing.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude with a commitment to safety and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Certifications in Automotive, Forklift, Diesel, or Mechanical Systems.
+ Experience using computer-based diagnostic tools and maintenance tracking software.
+ Familiarity with manufacturing standards and current technology in fleet maintenance.
+ Experience working on heavy trucks, light trucks, and diesel engines.
+ CDL Class A or B license (preferred but not required).
+ Understanding of internal combustion and diesel powertrains.

**Pay Details:** $28.00 to $29.00 per hour
