Viking Pump is a business unit of IDEX, a publicly traded corporation. This role will work alongside seasoned professionals to gain practical experience in areas such as general accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, compliance and audit requirements. This role is ONSITE M-F during core business hours.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Assist in month-end and quarter-end close processes

+ Support internal & external audits and compliance tasks

+ Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

+ Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance or Accounting field

+ Minimum GPA of 3.0 in major

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENT

+ This position will begin in May 2026 and end in August 2026

+ This position will be full-time, working 40 hours per week based on availability

+ Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

+ Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

+ Effective written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to build relationships with people using emotional intelligence and empathy

COMPUTER SKILLS:

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

+ Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions

+ Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use

+ General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment

+ Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
