The IT Director leads the development and execution of Vitra's technology strategy. This role leads IT operations, support, and infrastructure staff, ensuring optimal performance of hardware, software, networks, and mobile devices used throughout the organization. The role oversees system administration and technical troubleshooting while aligning technology strategies with business goals across Vitra's service areas. This is an on-site role in Vitra's Boston office location.
Essential Functions:
+ Serve as HIPAA IT Security Officer, and perform all duties associated with the role.
+ Implement cybersecurity protocols and disaster recovery technologies & plans.
+ Monitor system vulnerabilities and proactively mitigate risks.
+ Work closely with other departments to oversee end-to-end customer journeys, optimizing value while balancing business outcomes and customer/user experiences.
+ Understand the organization, its processes, and how technology strategically integrates,
+ Oversee management and maintenance of network infrastructure, servers, storage systems, mobile devices, and cloud services.
+ Ensure high availability and security of company-wide IT systems
+ Manages and monitors Help Desk performance and metrics
+ In collaboration with finance, develops annual IT budget; Manage IT ops budget, vendor relationships, and procurement processes.
+ Proactively plan and manage IT inventory and capital expense planning
+ Lead the development and implementation of systems strategies to support business goals.
+ Perform hands-on tasks leveraging Salesforce's built-in capabilities and third-party apps.
+ Oversee the development and implementation of system changes that address current and future business needs.
+ Stay abreast of technological advances and systems and provide recommendations.
+ Ability to organize and manage projects, coordinate the resources, and define scope.
+ Develop and refine troubleshooting protocols for end-user support and services.
+ Ensure smooth deployment, integration, and use of Microsoft-based solutions company-wide, including but not limited to MS 365, Active Directory, SSO-MFA, Azure Cloud, Outlook-Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.
+ Drive continuous improvement by analyzing performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing continuous improvements & best practices
+ Able to leverage relationships with leaders throughout the organization to establish stakeholder investment and feedback.
+ Communicate cross-functionally on a regular basis to ensure quality and adherence to stakeholder requirements, specifications, and timelines.
+ Work closely with the Compliance department to ensure that all internal policies, procedures and processes are adhered to and documented and create/adapt as necessary and required
+ Collaborate with executives to align IT infrastructure with business objectives.
+ Recommend and implement emerging technologies to optimize efficiency.
+ Maintain sufficient technical competency to oversee infrastructure, security, and IT operations teams effectively.
+ Ensure proper system monitoring, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
+ Hold teams accountable for adhering to IT standards, best practices, and future service level agreements (SLAs).
+ Fiscal accountability including development and management of department's budget, making smart choices for optimization.
+ Define and execute IT strategies that align with business objectives and drive long-term growth.
+ Oversee the planning, maintenance, and security of IT infrastructure, optimizing vendor relationships and costs.
+ Inspires Vitra Health's culture of customer service and commitment to quality care.
+ Serves as a brand ambassador for Vitra Health, reflecting our vision, mission, and values.

Experience and Education Requirements:
+ A minimum of six (6) years Management experience in IT, managing vendor implementations, client integrations or development projects.
+ Experience in healthcare, HIPAA compliant environment.
+ Salesforce experience is highly preferred.
+ Ability to organize and manage projects, coordinate the resources, and define scope.
+ Deadline oriented work ethic with superior management and organizational skills.
+ Ability to learn and understand our technical environment and apply processes to mitigate risk.
+ Support the vendor relationships for systems, ensuring that system issues are communicated in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
+ Adept at negotiating issues and resolving problems.
+ Strong technical skills in a variety of applications and web tools.
+ Bachelor's degree required; Computer Science, Information Technology preferred.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
+ Works in a clean, well-lit environment with fluctuating temperatures in close proximity to others.
+ Requires substantial periods of repetitive work utilizing a computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
+ Requires lifting and carrying equipment and supplies weighing up to 35 pounds; requires pushing and pulling equipment and supplies weighing up to 35 pounds; requires walking and standing; requires frequent sitting more than 75% of the workday; requires the ability to negotiate stairs; requires visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate equipment.
