    JOB SUMMARY:

    Responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of an overall sales plan, marketing for trade segments, and local partnerships that drive awareness and demand for Universal Kids Resort (UKR) theme park and hotel. Focused on the Frisco market to establish and maintain strong sales plans and incentive programs. Partners with key Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX) Marketing & Sales departments to support cross-departmental planning to ensure alignment with all origins and segments to elevate the presence and positioning of UKR within the local Frisco and regional theme park markets. Drives hotel occupancy through targeted sales initiatives in partnership with Hotel Operations and with local Frisco events, conventions, and families with children. Ensures alignment with business objectives, brand positioning, and revenue goals across UKR’s attractions, shows, and the on-site hotel.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Develops strategic marketing and sales plans to drive local Frisco market initiatives for marketing campaigns, sales and pricing optimization, evolving trade segment partnerships, and developing incentive programs. Implements sales initiatives that drive attendance, hotel occupancy, repeat visitation, special event buyouts, brand loyalty, and seasonal activations throughout the year. Champions the voice of the consumer to ensure the understanding of Guest needs and behaviors is at the center of special market strategies and programs.

    + Leads and partners collaboratively to develop strategic and comprehensive marketing communication plans ensuring there is a consistent and cohesive messaging strategy that aligns with overall objectives and goals. Identifies and implements initiatives that develop and strengthen the positioning of UKR to drive interest and increase revenue for a new business model. Responsible for maintaining and evolving the UKR brand, following all local marketing and sales requirements for ticket sales, hotel room sales, discounts, and partnerships.

    + Collaborates by seeking and leveraging partner input in the development of strategic direction for UKR sales initiatives. Partners closely with UDX Marketing & Sales departments and Hotel Revenue Operations to ensure alignment with business objectives, brand positioning, and revenue goals across both attractions and hospitality. Ensures alignment with Segment leaders, Cross Functional Segment Experiences Team, Insights, Licensed Partners, Product Development and Pricing to deliver against business objectives.

    + Monitors and measures Marketing & Sales performance, identifying areas of improvement and efficiency and directs activation through cross-functional teams. Provides UKR program status updates and communication to help throughout all levels of the organization to stay connected and informed on risks and localization efforts.

    + Develops campaign performance measurements and look back assessments; maintains ongoing business tracking as necessary. Maintains ROI on all marketing initiatives to ensure business objectives are met and makes changes as necessary to changing business demands.

    + Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

    + Supervises an Exempt team

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    + Will require some domestic travel.

    + Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

    + Provide clear and succinct direction, facilitate brainstorming and drive innovation that enables working teams to develop breakthrough product ideas.

    EDUCATION:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field is required. MBA is preferred.

    EXPERIENCE:

    + 7+ years of progressive marketing and/or sales experience in the Travel & Resort Industry, Live Entertainment, or immersive experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
