JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for leading the strategy, development, and implementation of numerous marketing initiatives for Universal Kids Resort (UKR) including public relations, domestic and international 3rd party promotions and social media content. Oversees the strategic direction of how UKR assets are utilized and leveraged in all consumer-facing elements and ensures the executive of each program is delivered on time, on-strategy, and on budget. Oversees the implementation, creative direction and other specifics of product PR plans, content creator plans and related special events with the goal of maximizing favorable media and creator coverage. Provides key partnership and ensures alignment across Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX) Marketing & Sales initiatives of social media campaigns and content to drive the new brand, on-site hotel, and overall social channels for Universal Kids Resort.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Responsible for overseeing the overall vision, strategy, and development of global promotional campaigns. Partners with all levels of internal/external management within Marketing & Sales, Operations, Hotel Operations, and UKR Leadership as needed for program development, partner management and to provide strategic guidance on partner brand alignment, integration potential, best practices, and feasibility. Fosters strong relationships with promotional partners to maintain a smooth workflow process, provide quality service and exceed client expectations.
+ Develops, presents and executes detailed marketing plans and creative strategy for each promotional campaign initiative while maximizing overall value for both the promotional partner and for Universal Kids Resort. Directs the development and execution of clearly defined creative briefs in support of Global Promotions marketing campaigns. Oversees the creative development process of all promotional creative through Creative, external vendors and agencies, ensuring complete follow-through on objectives outlined in the creative brief. Creates incremental marketing opportunities within existing and approved promotional partnerships with a strong focus on driving CRM data collection, social media engagement, and website visitation.
+ Supports UKR’s marketing goals by leading the strategy and implementation of public relations and content creator projects. Assists UKR Leadership in establishing the vision for each project aligned with marketing goals. Manages Marketing & Sales teams, key partner departments, and outside agency resources to ensure the execution aligns to the vision. Monitors creation of news releases and directs hands-on management of multiple live television broadcasts, media and content creator events, individual media and creator hosting and pitching, and symphony activations. Tracks and reports all media and creator coverage/activity.
+ Creates new and creative ways to use social platforms and digital content to tell stories, activate brand recognition and build the Universal Kids Resort audience. Develops on brand kid-centric social content across social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and more. Responsible for all social content planning, programming, publishing, tagging, and editorial calendar management in collaboration with IMC team and overall marketing messaging. Develops the content strategy for social channels that drives ticket sales, hotel occupancy, new brand recognition and fan retention.
+ Conceptualizes new, innovative ways to integrate Universal Kids Resort with partner brands, increasing organizational brand value and consumer offerings. Identifies and creates opportunities for social activations, develops strategic social media plans including the theme park and hotel, and manages executions and optimization of social media campaigns for UKR. Oversees the coordination and approval workflows of Legal and UKR specific intellectual property approvals and the execution of all contracts, documentation, and process management.
+ Oversees performance and responsibilities of direct reports to ensure all work produced is on time, on budget and on strategy. Cultivates direct reports with emphasis on company vision, aspired culture and values, consumer orientation, internal collaboration, innovation, staff development and retention. Collaborates with key stakeholders and UKR leadership to share insights and leverage synergies/best practices.
+ Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

EDUCATION:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field is required.
EXPERIENCE:
+ 7+ years of experience managing or developing Marketing program required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
