    The Warehouse and Inventory Control Coordinator supports the Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) in Moose Lake by overseeing warehouse operations and ensuring accurate inventory management within the facility’s Distribution Center. This position is responsible for coordinating the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, supplies, and merchandise, as well as monitoring inventory levels and processing purchase orders and vendor transactions. The coordinator plays a key role in maintaining efficient mail, shipping, and receiving operations, while ensuring compliance with fiscal and procedural standards. In addition, this position provides support to other areas of the Special Services Department, including canteen, linen, scrip distribution, mail, and property functions.

     

    + Ordering supplies and processing incoming and outgoing packages to and from contracted vendors

    + Creating and maintaining inventory levels for products ordered by and stored in the MSOP ML warehouse

    + Preparing EIORS, managing purchase order accounts by placing orders and approving requisitions, and utilizing purchase card as authorized.

    + Monitoring vendor accounts and departmental budgets

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Customer Service Skills sufficient to communicate with outside vendors for ordering products as well as other departments in the facility, in a helpful and courteous manner as well as resolving questions/concerns

    + Computerized inventory control system skills sufficient to maintain accurate inventory

    + Data entry performance skills sufficient to create database records, update entries or create and update spreadsheets

    + Leadwork skills sufficient to train individuals, demonstrate job duties, and establish priorities

    + Spreadsheet skills sufficient to develop and modify spreadsheets

    + Typing/Keyboarding skills sufficient to effectively and accurately complete a variety of reports, letters and data

    + Word processing skills sufficient to develop and modify a variety of correspondence, records and reports including tasks such as performing mail merges, developing forms and creating charts

    + Math skills sufficient to compare deliveries to invoice statements as well as maintain accurate inventories

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience working with clientele in a correctional or secured environment

    + Experience working with outside vendors including managing relationships, ordering supplies and evaluating vendor performance
