Nertwork Administrator
Position Title: Network Administrator Onsite work required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in Network Administration, including:
+ CISCO and Palo Alto Firewalls
+ CISCO Identity Services Engine (ISE)
+ LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments
+ Ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy)
+ Network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA)
+ Experience with:
+ SolarWinds Orion for network monitoring
+ Ekahau Sidekick for wireless assessments
Daily Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Agency Network Manager or designated lead, the Network Administrator will:
+ Monitor and troubleshoot wireless network issues across the agency
+ Support connectivity for Windows, macOS, tablets, and mobile devices
+ Manage the full lifecycle of wireless devices and networks
+ Assist with connectivity for State Health Laboratory instruments and systems
+ Register devices using ISE and maintain network access controls
+ Conduct onsite wireless assessments and maintain heatmaps using Ekahau
+ Deploy, install, and upgrade enterprise wireless networks
+ Perform firmware, software, and security updates
+ Respond to and resolve tickets in the agency’s trouble ticket system
+ Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for wireless and network issues
+ Collaborate with IT teams (Network, Security, Server Hosting) and non-IT staff
+ Assist with physical installations (e.g., racking equipment); must be comfortable working on ladders and lifting up to 40 lbs
+ Maintain and improve wireless documentation and technical notes
+ Plan and execute project milestones and provide regular updates to project teams
Additional Information:
+ Must adhere to State and Agency IT security policies and standards
+ Strong organizational and communication skills required
+ Ability to work independently and in a team environment
