    Job Description:

    The Clinical Quality Improvement Nurse will support quality improvement initiatives through clinical expertise and analytical skills using rigorous quality improvement processes.

    Essential Functions

    + Lead and participate in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient care and safety.

    + Collect, analyze, and interpret clinical data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

    + Develop and implement evidence-based policies and procedures to improve clinical practices.

    + Provide training and support to clinical staff on quality improvement methodologies and best practices.

    + Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards, including those set by accrediting bodies and healthcare organizations.

    + Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective quality improvement strategies.

    + Prepare detailed reports on quality improvement activities, outcomes, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.

    + Advocate for patient safety and quality care by identifying and addressing barriers to high-quality care.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Education will be verified.

    + Current RN license.

    + Demonstrates strong knowledge and understanding of medical terminology, medical acronyms, pharmacology, anatomy and physiology and ICD-10-CM/PCS, DRG, and APR-DRG classification systems.

    + Demonstrated clinical nursing experience.

    + Demonstrated experience with the application of and success with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or PDSA/IHI Model for Improvement.

    + Demonstrated experience in healthcare performance improvement

    + Experience with EPIC preferred.

    + Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.

    + Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.

    + Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

    + May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs when the leader takes clinical shifts.

    + For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing, and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

     

    $44.42 - $65.70
