THE OPPORTUNITY
TechInsights is looking for a Senior Analyst and project manager to lead custom client solutions in the Tablets and personal computing devices industry. The ideal candidate brings 1-2+ years of experience as an industry analyst in consumer technology markets, with proven expertise in managing primary and secondary research, superior project management skills, and previous consulting experience. You thrive in complex, high-autonomy environments with minimal supervision and possess high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications (Python and database experience is a strong plus).
You will serve as project manager and subject matter expert for custom single-client engagements, executing forecasting models, quantitative analysis, and research methodologies for Tablets and personal computing products. You'll support syndicated research teams, coordinate cross-functional projects across multiple divisions, scope new business opportunities with executive leadership, and manage external contractor resources. You anticipate business challenges, develop strategic solutions, and lead projects with notable risk and complexity that directly impact customer and operational objectives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
+ Act as project manager and/or project lead in executing existing forecasting and quantitative modeling.
+ Managing and implementing and performing research and other project related p rocesses or methodologies for Tablets and Personal Computing products.
+ Support syndicated teams with research and publication of deliverables as possible through ongoing research.
+ Support Project Managers in managing and coordinating project processes and project teams across wireless, automotive, internal consulting other teams, as well as external contracting resources, when necessary. Short runway to become project manager for Korean customers.
+ Lead and coordinate with Executive Director of Consulting, North America in scoping potential new projects and the planning of internal resources and budgeting, as well as external contract resources if necessary.
+ Establish and manage subcontractor agreements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
+ 1-2+ years as an industry analyst in consumer technology and device markets (Tablets/Personal Computing preferred)
+ 1+ years managing primary and secondary research in consumer technology, mobile computing, or semiconductor markets
+ Superior project management skills with previous consulting or project management experience required
+ High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office; Python and database experience a strong plus
+ Anticipates business challenges and regulatory issues; recommends process and service improvements
+ Operates autonomously with minimal supervision in complex environments
+ Leads high-risk, complex projects; develops execution strategies and allocates resources to impact customer and operational objectives
